It’s the first of the year, and it’s time for a fresh start.  Next Day Office Supplies appreciates the fact that you’re at our site, and we are happy to sell you office supplies (look for my new book, Captain Obvious and the Rules of the Universe, coming soon to a store near you).  At the start of the year, however, many of us are looking to change our lives for the better, and there are some simple steps you can take to improve your profitability, efficiency and maybe help the world a little bit (addressing three of your principal goals for the year, I hope).

First, consolidate your purchases.  You can do this on many different levels.  Use fewer suppliers – it will save you time and hassles with problems, returns, bill payment, etc.  Make fewer purchases (don’t worry, I’m not trying to talk you out of spending money with Next Day) – group your purchasing into fewer, larger purchases.  This will save you time if you are going to the store, gas from multiple trips to the store, or less packaging and fuel waste if you’re buying on line and having deliveries made (clearly the preferred method of purchasing your office needs).
