One of my favorite phrases is 'You're better safe than sorry', especially when it comes to personal safety. I'm always surprised at how many people, particularly ladies, don't carry any form of safety device when they're out and about.

Among my friends I'm considered the Queen of Personal Safety. Whether I'm out on the roads running, or simply taking my groceries to the car, I am always alert, aware of my surroundings, and have a personal safety device at the ready.

My Next Day Favorite this week is one of my favorite safety items is Energizer's Handsfree Panic Alarm & LED Light. It has a super bright white LED lightbulb that illuminates the night like the best heavy duty flashlight, and an easy pull-chain alarm that lets out a 115 decibel shriek. Whether you need to be seen or heard, this sleek little device is easy to carry and easy to use. You may never need to use it, but as I always say - you're better safe than sorry!
