It's Always Better to be Safe than Sorry
When I moved to St. Louis in August, I’ll admit, I had a little apprehension about relocating to the most dangerous city in the country. But most of my anxiety was cast aside by my overwhelming excitement to be living “the big city life.” I couldn’t wait to live in “The Lou.”
Though I like living in St. Louis most of the time, there are times like this morning when I’m reminded of just how unrelenting a city can be. When I opened my car door this morning, I saw that my car had been ransacked. Someone had broken into it – again – for the second time in three months. At least this time I knew what do to and who to call. Even though nothing was stolen – for the second time – the thought of someone breaking into my car leaves an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. Any sense of security I had left after the first break-in has now been obliterated. As I’m sitting here at my desk I can’t help but wonder what’s next - my apartment, maybe my identity?
The good news is its Friday. And the really good news is that actions can be taken to reduce the likelihood of other security violations. To help protect your security, as well as others’ security – whether it’s safeguarding information, personal possessions, or monitoring unobserved areas – I’ve listed a few Next Day products you may want to consider if you’d rather be safe than sorry.1) The Kensington® ComboSaver™ Notebook Lock, the simple-to-use, four-digit combination lock is made of nearly indestructible aircraft-grade steel cable. Six feet of cable anchors your notebook to a desk or immovable object.
2) Sentry Safe Fire-Safe® Electronic Safe – It’s fire and water resistant and has an advanced LCD electronic lock system with backlit keypad, programmable PIN access and tubular key lock. It also includes a bolt-down kit.
3) See All® Full Dome Safety and Security Mirror – You can use this product to monitor unguarded areas and safeguard entrances and exits.
