According to an article in USA Today, shoplifting is on the rise. Apparently people are feeling the effects of a slow economy enough to pad their pockets with stolen goods. Unfortunately, we all pay for the pocket stuffing. Most stores, especially retailers aren’t able to eat the loss. To make up the difference, stores are marking up prices and keeping less people on staff. As I’m sure you’ve caught on, this only fuels the flame. And in this case, I don’t think a bucket of water will do the trick.
