Independence Day is truly one of my favorite holidays. Beyond the fireworks, food and festivals, I enjoy the feeling of camaraderie shared by all Americans. For one day a year we all come together to celebrate our country and what we stand for.

The freedom fought and won by our ancestors is symbolized by our flag. The flag is a representation of 50 states becoming one unified nation. Since the days of Washington, our population has become vastly diversified. We are a nation of diverse culture, religion and walks of life. But the flag embodies each of us – regardless of the differences lying between us – as one country. Wave your flag proudly this 4th of July.
