We’ve all heard that sweets should be eaten in moderation, as part of a balanced diet. Apparently, Keith Sorrell, a 37-year-old man with a 12-Mars-bars-a-day habit, which began 17 years ago, didn’t get the memo. Or just doesn’t care.

As part of a “run-with-the-publicity” campaign, Mars, Inc. has sponsored a study to discover the health properties of chocolate. “Mars has become the world leader in cocoa science,” one official recently told the Pioneer Press. As reported by Mike Nizza (columnist for The New York Times), people lined up in London to join the study. The assignment? “Eat a bar of chocolate daily for a year, guilt-free and all in the name of science,” one paper put it (according to Mike Nizza).

Although here at Next Day we don’t have a “study” for you to partake in, we do have chocolate. Whether it’s healthy or not (I guess we’ll find out from Mars, Inc. in a year or so), we have quite the selection. From M&M’s to Kellogg's Keebler Cookies and Nestle Pearson Nips, we have bulk varieties for any office, breakroom or reception area.

Just make sure to indulge in moderation.
