Report Covers Add the Icing to My Cake

You probably won’t believe me when I tell you this, but I actually remember the first time I handed in a bounded essay with a report cover. I was in sixth grade, my teacher’s name was Ms. Schmidt and the title of the essay was “Cold River.” Of all the books I was (for lack of a better word, “uh-hem,”) forced to read and write about over my 16 years of schooling, “Cold River” (written by William Judson) is the most memorable.

The essay had to be at least 10 pages long, Times New Roman font (size 12) and double spaced. Long before I finished, I knew this essay was to become my first masterpiece. After hours of meticulous editing and reworking, I printed out the final copy. I added the cover page and proudly bound the essay together with a report cover. It was finished. And I – Amanda Goedken – had officially become a writer.

From that day onward, report covers essentially became the icing on the cake. Staples and paper clips were a thing of the past. My essays only felt complete, polished and professional (as I’m sure you understand - I had to be professional now that I was a writer) if they were bound and covered.

So as you may have guessed, this week’s Next Day Favorite item is the Universal® Clear Front Report Cover. And from what I’ve discovered, you certainly don’t have to be in sixth grade to showcase your masterpiece, a.k.a.: report, essay, memo, or what-have-you. I’ll leave you with my motto of the day: “Dress it up, and look snazzy!”

Until next time….The End.
